Introducing PhD candidate Titus Mürtz
On May 1st, 2025, Titus Mürtz started as a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam, joining a mixed NSMD team focusing on the development of a simulation tool to compare outcomes of treatments in psychopathology.

Titus completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam, where he specialized in brain and cognition, social psychology, and psychological methods. During his studies, he developed a strong interest in the use of network models to better understand complex psychological phenomena. His Master's thesis focused on the dynamics of political belief networks, allowing him to deepen his knowledge in formal modeling and simulation research. Titus is motivated to contribute to translational research and is looking forward to learning from others through collaboration. He will work under the supervision of Lourens Waldorp, Jonas Haslbeck, Tessa Blanken, Reinout Wiers, and Lynn Mobach.
