Introducing PhD candidate Lisa Ottenhof
Lisa Ottenhof started her PhD in August 2026 at Maastricht University as part of the Disordered Desires team. Her research focuses on the effectiveness of network-informed treatment for eating disorders with comorbid psychopathology.
Lisa graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a research master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Utrecht University. Her bachelor’s thesis focused on the role of personality in the intergenerational transmission of depression and anxiety from parents to their children. During her master’s, she explored adolescent development, repeated cross-sectional data, and multilevel analysis. Her master’s thesis focused on the link between time trends in adolescent risk behaviour and schoolwork pressure.
During her PhD, Lisa aims to investigate the effectiveness of network-informed treatment compared with guideline-informed treatment in individuals with complex eating disorders. She will make use of Single-Case Experimental Designs and Ecological Momentary Assessment data. Her supervisory team consists of Anita Jansen, Marleen Rijkeboer, and Ria Hoekstra.
