Introducing PhD candidate Josefine Schmitt
Josefine Schmitt started her PhD at Maastricht University on May 1st, 2025. She is a member of a mixed NSMD team led by Anita Jansen and Marleen Rijkeboer.
Josefine studied Social Work in Groningen and afterwards completed her masters in Mental Health at Maastricht University. During her masters she investigated how the experience of loneliness in young adults can be mitigated. Her PhD will focus on comparing data-driven symptom networks to patients' and therapists' case conceptualisations and studying in which way they differ from each other, as well as relating each of these symptom networks and case conceptualisations to the outcomes of treatment as usual.
