Previously, Almeida has completed a master’s in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Lisbon and worked as an Early Stage Researcher with functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). Having previously focused on developing technical skills in brain imaging research led her to an interest in Neuroscience. “I’m excited to work on the topics of symptom networks, as well as its applicability to treatment protocols for disordered desires.”

She will join the Disordered Desires Team under supervision of Anne Roefs, David Linden and Bettina Sorger.
